At the Traverso Lab, I worked on several projects including brain implants for extended drug release, subcutaneous implants, magnetically triggered smart-pills, and devices for oral delivery of macromolecular drugs.
As a mechanical engineer in the Traverso Lab, I have gained experience in:
Fusion 360
Medical device design
Academic research
Rapid prototyping
Design for manufacturing
High-precision 3D printing
Presentations for technical/non-technical audiences
Literature reviews
Due to the nature of my work, I am unable to talk about everything I worked on. However, I’d be happy to provide my employer’s contact information upon request.
Operating out of MIT’s The Engine, Notch Technologies is developing RF Metamaterials to enable antenna beamforming and range boosting, as well as cybersecurity protection.
Some of the projects I worked on at Notch include low-cost waveguide manufacturing, in-house radar cross-section measurements, antenna assemblies, and material characterization.
As a mechanical engineer at Notch, I gained experience in:
SolidWorks
Python
Advanced 3D printing
Carbon fiber composites
Electroplating
CNC Machining
Casting molds
Electrical engineering
Rapid prototyping with many tools
